Not Just
Somebody’s Wife
June, 1994 - David's
10-year anniversary love letter to Sandy
|
I met you at Albion College, in Theater Arts
class. Our first date was the beginning of something great. Our relationship started with friendship and
then blossomed into romance. This closeness has kept us together, and it will keep us together,
forever. It was easy to be with you. It still is.
On June 9, 1984, you married me. During
the past ten years, our love and marriage have continued to strengthen. We have both grown and changed,
but we have grown and changed together.
We have stayed together through the emotional
roller-coaster of marriage and life. The highs have been wonderful. The lows have been
devastating. But through it all, you were there for me, I was there for you. . . and the Lord was
there for us both.
You strengthen my weaknesses with love and
support. I dare not ask how . . . even when I turn away. But I thank God that you
do.
You keep me laughing with your wit
and charm and you are very smart in the ways of the world. You offer advice and are usually right!
I respect your opinions and your judgment.
You are my best friend and I am stronger
when we are together then when we are apart.
You are not just somebody’s wife . . . You
are my wife, and I love you forever, with all my heart.
David.
